Where do you live (City, State, or Country)?
Hampshire in the UK.  
 
Describe your journey into film or television writing? What inspires your overall journey into screenwriting?
A few years ago, I got very very sick.  So every day I’m grateful for life.  I started writing because some of my other abilities have been taken away. 
 
How do you decide which stories to tell, and what draws you to these particular themes?
Like most, I write what I know.  My greatest inspiration are my beautiful wife and 3 amazing children.  So I tend to write family / kids stuff.  
 
How do you deal with writer’s block? 
I take the dog for a walk, or go buy some milk for my tea.  I find I do my best creative work when I’m not thinking.  In other words, doing something else and putting my brain in ‘neutral’.  Ideas tend to come to me, when I’m daydreaming about something else.  
 
Have you pitched to producers or taken meetings yet? What have those experiences taught you about the business side of screenwriting?
Yes.  I think you can write almost anything. And someone, somewhere will want to watch it. So it’s a matter of finding producers who are your vibe and tribe.  That’s the hardest bit I think. Finding that needle in a haystack.  Someone who gets what you’re saying. And who has the time, money, resources, desire and network to help you make it a reality. 
 
What message or emotional response do you hope audiences walk away with after experiencing your work?
I’d like to think hope and inspired.  We live in a pretty gloomy, down-trodden world at the mo.  We could all do, with a bit more fun and sunshine.
 
What else are you working on that the world needs to know about? 
I’m currently working a feature called the Battle for Bramblewood Primary.  It’s a mash-up of Home Alone meets Braveheart (for kids). With a splash of Paddington.
