​Can you tell us about your journey into screenwriting? What inspired you to pursue this career?
For years, I had been wanting to put my story out into the world. I had been working on a book for years, but the passion just wasn’t there. I started to dabble in screenwriting and the story finished itself. I find that screenwriting gives me much more
visual and creative freedom. Over the past year I’ve already finished two screenplays and currently on to my third.

When approaching a new screenplay, how do you organize your ideas before diving into the actual writing? Do you start with a detailed outline, or do you prefer to let the story unfold as you go?
I let the story unfold as I go. The story is already there and so are the characters. I’ve learned to finally trust the process and let the magic unfold. I think story making is what gives me the most creative satisfaction in the end.

How do you handle writer's block or moments of doubt during your creative process?
I go out into the world and observe people. People are where stories unfold and can help enrich your life, which in turn, will enrich your story.

Screenwriting often requires a deep understanding of character. How do you develop characters that feel authentic and relatable?
By surrounding myself with interesting people, either real or fictional. Then, as I write, I ask myself “ Would this be someone you
would want to hang out with?” If the answer is yes, then I consider it a good character.

The film and television industry is constantly evolving. How do you see the role of screenwriters changing, especially with the rise of streaming platforms and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence?
I myself being an artist of some sort for the last twenty years, I’ve seen multiple art forms be simplified or duplicated digitally. But the digital output is based on a conglomeration of human algorithms. I believe AI is a good tool or base for a screenwriter to gauge where the popular opinion is, then go the complete opposite way and create something of your own.

What do you hope audiences take away from your work? Are there particular emotions or messages you aim to evoke through your storytelling?
I just want people to feel something or to be inspired by the subject matter so that they themselves might gain a new
interest. My current screenplay was inspired by Gary Oldman’s Beethoven Immortal Beloved. Because of that movie, I dove into the music of Beethoven and devoured every book ever written about him. If it wasn’t for that movie, I wouldn’t have found the love I have for classical music I have today.
