Where do you live (City, State, or Country)?
Chico, California. Born and raised in Cardiff, Wales.

Your script stood out among hundreds of others. What was the inspiration for your story and why did you write a script instead of a short story or a novel?
I immigrated to the USA in my twenties to complete my advanced degrees in UC, Santa Barbara.  I took a class on “American History” and was shocked by how much was omitted.  So, I set myself a task.  See my short vimeo:  https://vimeo.com/715066748

How long did it take you to write your script...and what is your writing process? Do you outline...use index cards...white board...or just start with FADE IN?
I begin with an idea and then have many conversations with myself and my characters during the writing.  I always respond and rework after professional criticism.

What is your ultimate ambition as a writer?
Ibsen: “To see, to really see!”  To challenged.  To share my vision via an actual movie.  It is time for the truth about the California Mission Period to be known.  https://altacaliforniamovie.com/

Which film or television writers inspire you? Why?
I like writers who challenge: Werner Herzog, Alejandro G Inarritu, Michael Reilly, Lisa McGee (Derry Girls),

What’s your all-time favorite movie or television show?
Works that challenges ideas and structure.  Aguirre: The Wrath of God.  Bad Sisters.

What advice do you have for writers hoping to win a contest or place as a finalist as you have?
Never give up.  Good writing is re-writing.  Expand, free your mind, write in all genres.  Read and watch the greats.

What else are you working on that the world needs to know about?
Reworking PIRANDELLO’S WIFE.  We know his story.   What of hers?  Three decades in an asylum.  Why? Many national and international awards for my comedies, action movies and rom coms.
